Pushbridge is a set of soundcard drivers for Push 3 Standalone that talk Overbridge with Elektron devices enabling multi-channel audio streaming directly from Push. No Windows or MacOS computer required.

In the case of breaking normal Push 3 Standalone functionality, information to restore Push software back to factory state can be found here. Tiny Sound Systems is not responsible for potential damages to your Push 3 Standalone device. This software does not cause permanent changes to the underlying computer after being removed.

Compatibility

Must have a Push 3 Standalone unit. These drivers are not needed when running Ableton on Windows or MacOS. Overbridge engine and drivers are provided by Elektron for those platforms. There is no guarantee that Pushbridge will work on newer versions, but minor Push software updates have is a high chance of compatibility. Support for future AbletonOS versions and driver performance improvements are included in the free lifetime updates.

Ableton Live Templates

Included with the drivers are Template project files that contain pre-named and configured tracks for each supported Elektron device.

These groups of tracks can be included in other templates or used as is on Push. They are automatically added to User Library/Templates on Push when installing Pushbridge for your convenience.

What is Pushbridge?

A suite of kernel drivers for AbletonOS that allow you to get multi-channel audio IO similar to the Overbridge engine and VSTs by Elektron when using a MacOS or Windows machine.
I have a Push 1, Push 2, or Push 3 Controller, can I use this?

Nope! This software is only for Push 3 Standalone. If you are using a Push 3 Controller and a Windows or MacOS machine, you can download and install Overbridge directly from the Elektron website.
Can I still use the ADAT IO on Push while using these drivers?

Yes, but it depends on the audio device selection. Push 3 Standalone lets users select soundcard input and output devices independently.

Examples:

Pushbridge as the input device and the internal Push soundcard as the output device allows for multitracking from an Elektron box into Push while still using the native Push soundcard outputs (This includes ADAT outputs, CV outs, and headphone/main outs).

Internal Push soundcard as the input device and a Pushbridge driver as the output device allows for running audio from Push into the the main out and/or sends on the Elektron device while still using the TRS jacks and ADAT inputs on Push.
Can I use multiple Overbridge devices at the same time?

Sort of, each Pushbridge driver is associated with a single Elektron device and cannot be aggregated together (For example; a Digitakt and Digitone plugged into Push, only one driver can be selected in the audio settings for Input or Output). One device could be the Input while another device is the Output but that doesn't enable multitracking all channels for both devices into Push.

In the future, there may be an update that enables aggregate device inputs but that is deep in the theory crafting stages.
What happens if these drivers are not compatible with future versions of AbletonOS / Push Firmware / Ableton Live?

Owners of Pushbridge will get compatibility updates and performance improvements for free for life. Additionally, updates to Pushbridge may include support for new Elektron devices in the future.
Is this using Overwitch?

No, this is not an Overwitch client and does not use any Overwitch code for a number of reasons.

  1. Overwitch relies on tools that aren't natively supported in AbletonOS. SystemD, JACK, and a number of other dependencies for Overwitch are not available.
  2. Soundcard detection on the Push 3 Standalone version of Ableton Live only supports ALSA hardware audio drivers while Overwitch exposes Overbridge IO via JACK, a software based audio routing system found on many popular Linux distros.
